We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant, Treasury Services to be located in our Stamford, CT headquarters within the Decision Support Department. This role reports to the NWNA AP, Capital, Fixed Asset, & Treasury Manager.
This position will be supporting various departments in the Financial Services Organization. The individual will be responsible for certain aspects of Company's cash management processes, including fund transfer, cash management banking and financial institution relationships, requests influencing business transactions throughout the organization to ensure timeliness of cash management services.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
o Monitoring daily cash transactions for accuracy and validity
o Supporting the Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset functions as needed.
o Analyzing, reconciling and preparing monthly bank related Balance Sheet Account reconciliations
o Reviewing/approving monthly NBS bank reconciliations
o Monitoring, approving and coordinating daily wire payments
o Preparing and issuing monthly/quarterly management Treasury reports (Magnitude)
o Preparing and posting daily and monthly journal entries for banking related activities (reclasses and accruals)
o Issue resolution regarding payment/receipts by check, ACH and wire
o Preparation of Cash flow analysis
o Interacting with various Nestle operating companies HP/NBS/LGO related to above activities
o Interacting with various internal departments (HR, Tax, Real Estate, Supply Chain)
o Revise/Design procedures for internal control compliance documentation around cash operations
o Process improvement and streamlining as determined
o Special projects as assigned
o Monthly accounting closes are also a key part of this role in terms of accounting related to cash transactions, as well as Quantum interface postings, monthly T&E accruals, inter-company loans, etc.
Key qualifications include:
o Bachelor Degree in Accounting and CPA/MBA a plus
o Proficiency with SAP (a must), Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Quantum a plus
o Possess 5 - 7 years' of Treasury and Corporate experience including Treasury Operations, Accounts Payable, banking relations and regulations
o 3 - 7 years of related accounting and auditing experience
o Knowledge and understanding of general Financial and Fixed Assets Accounting (GAAP and/or IAS) and business principles
o Knowledge of General Ledger and sub-ledger accounting principles
o Cash management application knowledge, understanding/experience
o Understanding of Internal Controls or Auditing experience
o Knowledge of Accounts Payables and Fixed Assets operations
o 2-3 years of Supervisory/ Team Lead experience with demonstrated leadership skills
o Customer service focus / Flexibility / Team Player
o Ability to work independently, be flexible and multi-task
o Demonstrated ability for process improvement/project management
o Strong teambuilding skills and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
o Excellent analytical and organizational skills, strong work ethic, strong decision-making ability and detail oriented
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Must be able to handle multiple assignments and have the ability to prioritize workload
