Within our National Tax Department, we currently have a career opportunity for a Manager to participate in HR Mergers and Acquisitions - Financial, operational and tax mergers and acquisitions due diligence analysis focused on human capital matters for US and global transactions, producing HR due diligence reports (both buy-side and sell-side), HR sell-side support (especially for divestitures), human capital transaction support to close and HR integration planning.

The combination of knowledge and experience forms the basis for National Tax's ability to help clients analyze the effects of tax law and regulations and to assist clients in determining and implementing appropriate tax planning.
Our Performance & Reward (P&R;) practice is a specialty practice that falls under NTD and provides a broad range of services focusing on human resources (HR) and payroll. A company's people investment is one of its most significant investments and the Performance & Reward practice focuses on helping clients better control cost and manage risks associated with their HR plans, programs and systems. Performance & Reward professionals help clients measure, control, reduce or reallocate HR costs and assess operations to deliver business performance improvement. We also help clients manage the risks associated with their benefit plans and other HR programs, including assessing the financial implications of a transaction on HR functions, plans and programs as well as the outsourcing relationships that support HR.
Responsibilities
Support the client in addressing human capital matters through all stages of acquisition, divestiture and merger, including pre-transaction diligence, negotiation, pre-close Day One planning, post-close integration or implementation.
Perform report writing. project planning, data analysis, and development of presentation material.
Analyze data and present conclusions.
Manage projects, including scoping, creating deliverables and managing budgets.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Develop opportunities internally through partners and externally directly with clients, developing proposals, budgeting and managing quality risk management (QRM) issues in line with public accountancy and regulatory requirements.
Work with others, both within the firm and with clients.
Manage and develop others, either directly or indirectly.
Develop and raise awareness and knowledge of the group both externally and internally.
Travel to client premises as and when required (may include overseas travel).
Requirements
To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, human resources management or a related discipline with demonstrated, exceptional academic achievement CPA, ASA or State Bar certification PHR would be beneficial proven analytical skills (either a relevant degree or post graduate qualification) knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: reward, employee benefits, executive compensation, equity, employment compliance, redundancy, trade unions. understanding of financial accounting and reporting related to compensation and benefits, including impact on business financial value in transactions; familiarity with tax implications of human capital in transactions a plus knowledge of and experience in the HR aspects of mergers and acquisitions knowledge of the international human capital implications of mergers and acquisitions experience working in a consulting environment excellent analytical skills, including understanding of financial analysis and accounting principles strong Excel skills ability to work to tight deadlines and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements great teaming skills; ability to integrate with new cross-functional and cross-border teams quickly ability to build strong client relationships and manage client expectations excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to advise, challenge and influence clients at all levels in an organization a strong client focus and awareness of the business commitment to make an impact on the team project management experience, including project planning, budget management, and reporting ability to travel regularlyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
