Job summary
As Fleet Dispatcher you'll be an integral part of the Fleet Call Center team and will be responsible for communicating back and forth with vendors and/or drivers to assist with reserving drivers for EY professionals in the Metro NY area. This position handles incoming service orders, directs drivers, and resolves service issues. You will interact with customers that include Partners, Principles and Directors as well as other EY employees by using EY proprietary software to enter ticket information and track activity. This shift would be a Sunday - Thursday shift with varying start and end times. Shifts vary with the potential for overtime hours depending particular site needs.
The position requires excellent focus, high energy and enthusiasm, forward thinking, multi-tasking ability, excellent problem solving, the ability to manage change, solid execution and a commitment to safety to help the company meet financial objectives and exceed customer expectations. This position also requires independent decision making utilizing company procedures and guidelines.
The hours for this position are 3:00pm to 12:00am (midnight), Sunday - Thursday
Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Dispatches drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers, etc.
Teams with reservationists as well as other dispatchers to optimize fleet utilization.
Handles incoming calls and e-mails from customers seeking ground transportation in the NY/CT/NJ area, ensuring quick service response
Initiates outbound calls to customers while drivers are on-site/location, resolving pick-up and other issues
Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and pick-up problems before they result in service issues
Records and documents information from drivers and distributes to appropriate departments
Skills & Responsibilities
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Requirements
Experience
Two years of related experience in call center or dispatcher environment
Education
High school diplomaEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
