Job Responsibilities The Automotive Service Dispatcher will be responsible for assisting the service department by dispatching and managing workflow through the shop and for carrying out his/her responsibilities through coordination with the service manager.
Dispatch work to technicians and assist in various ways to ensure the workflow of the service department Responsible for assisting the Service Advisors and the Service Director with information, forms, reports, and/or documentation related to customer relations, as requested Review parts and authorization holds daily Review technician changes and updates on repair orders Review appointments with Service Advisors Provide estimation of time for completion of each repair order Close and prepare work orders accurately for warranty submission Establish processes and standards to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient and effective Service Department operation Job Requirements Must meet company's requirements for employment Knowledge of Reynolds & Reynolds a plus but not mandatory Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information Must have a valid driver's license Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles Prior experience in the automotive industry a plus Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
