Specialist, Investment Reporting & Analytics, Financial Reporting & Accounting Stamford, Connecticut, USA The role of Specialist, Investment Reporting & Analytics is part of AXA XL's global corporate investment accounting team, comprised of an internationally located team of employees.
The successful candidate will have a key role in the accounting close function which includes the preparation, review and delivery of AXA XL investment-related results for inclusion in the AXA Group Annual Report, other public filings and analyst materials, as well as internal management reporting.
DISCOVERyour opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include? oPerform monthly investment accounting close activities of the Company's investment portfolio under IFRS basis oPrepare and assist with the oversight of the Group Reporting process relating to the investment disclosures, from establishment and adherence to internal timelines through to review and ultimate submission of key deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis.
These deliverables represent the AXA XL contribution to the AXA Group financial statements and footnotes, MD&A disclosures and investor presentations, as well as internal management analyses and AXA Group clearance meeting materials that provide necessary context around results oAssist with the application and adoption of new accounting pronouncements impacting investment accounting and disclosures under IFRS basis oMaintain role-relevant internal controls over investment accounting to meet group and local requirement and work with internal and external auditors oPreparation of the note disclosures for the Company's subsidiaries, as appropriate oOther duties may be assigned You will report to Manager, Investment Reporting & Analytics, Financial Reporting & Accounting.
SHARE your talent SHARE your talent We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
oBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from an accredited college or university o Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
o Intermediate to Advanced level financial accounting and reporting experience investment accounting preferred but not required .
oWorking knowledge of investment products including fixed income securities, equity securities, derivative instruments and alternative investments preferred oDetailed understanding and practical experience with investment related financial accounting guidance.
oMust be a self-starter, who is able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
oMust be a team player and willing to work extended hours as necessary.
oH igh degree of proficiency with E xcel and other microsoft products , such as Power BI with ability to retrieve data, manipulate such data and create useful analytical information oMust have excellent organizational skills and be able to respond to urgent ad hoc requests.
o Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP and/or Hyperion Financial Management or other general ledger systems would be advantageous.
oGood written and spoken communication skills.

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location.
