50 an hour The Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) supports test utilization management efforts and resolves issues with test orders.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with test utilization management (TUM) efforts, which includes either review of test orders at accession check or resolution of issues with client orders Facilitate test set-up by ensuring appropriate relative samples and positive controls are linked, adding gene lists for custom tests, and other related tasks Provide basic client services, including provision of turn-around-time, specimen requirements, information about tests on hold and cancellations, etc as required while performing TUM Maintains knowledge of systems involved in test ordering and test setup, including the provider portal, Salesforce, OSCAR, XA, and LIMS Appropriately identifies complex cases that require escalation to a supervisor or genetic counselor Performs other related duties as assigned Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Preferred degree in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical sciences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Budgeted pay range:
$18hr - $25.
50hr.
Schedule:
M-F 9-5:
30pm w/ 30 min lunch break.
