We are looking for a Bilingual Spanish Reinsurance Accounting Analyst with at least 3 years of experience.
You will be responsible for technical accounting duties including high-level analysis, processing, and booking of assumed reinsurance statements in the sub-ledger system of record which includes monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
This is a Hybrid role working in the office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze statement submissions ensuring all required supporting documentation has been received.
Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with other functional areas (Underwriting, Claims, Finance) and clients to clarify and resolve queries, incorrect data, and missing information to facilitate timely and accurate statement processing.
Accurately perform technical accounting duties such as statement analysis, booking premiums and claims transactions, and cash allocation activities.
Complete financial settlement activities according to policy terms and agreements and timely management of overall cash flow.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field desired.
GAAP accounting & reporting experience desired.

years of accounting, reporting or finance experience.
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly desired.
Proactive individual with well-developed communication skills, analytical and documentation skills, and with high attention to detail.
Proven track record of taking initiative to research and resolve issues.
Strong computer skills and desire to learn new applications with advanced MS Excel knowledge.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
