Job Description
Gartner Events is a thriving - fast pace - technology based business. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong business acumen to drive critical technology solutions. You will develop global solutions across all platforms - web, tablet, and mobile. You must have both strong technical project management skills and business acumen to effectively communicate and implement solutions across the enterprise.
Drive large-scale, complex client-focused and internal client-focused projects in alignment with Event strategy of enhancing the client experience, creating operational efficiencies, and supporting initiatives that positively impact revenues of the organization.
Ensures that approved project plans are managed for optimal integration of timing, scope and resources within Events globally and within any other competing enterprise level projects.
Creates uniform processes/documentation across projects including agendas, project plans, status reports, and other project documentation as required.
Plans for and direct schedules as well as business side project budgets; monitoring the project from initiation through delivery; communication of project status reporting.
Identifies, tracks and aids resolution efforts for all project-related risks and issues, and communicate positive and negative deviations from project plans to manager of business process and technology team.
Strong team player who identifies and documents business process gaps and inconsistencies along with moving forward an implementation plan and recommendations for next steps supported by facts, and analysis.
Works in strong partnership with cross-functional teams to create a comprehensive implementation plans to accomplish the strategy as defined by the Business Process and Technology manager and Events GLT.
Develop lessons learned and communicating end project results and actionable recommendations to Business Process and Technology manager for future project and business process initiatives.
Job Requirements
5
Years project management experience
Experience in large scale technology project/change management preferred
Very strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage and develop people within a cross-functional team project, and leverage matrixed resources
Strong leadership skills includes persistence, patience and persuasiveness
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects and business process implementations that support Events strategy initiatives
