We are looking for Oracle DBA for our client in Stamford, CT
JOB TITLE: Oracle DBA
JOB LOCATION: Stamford, CT
TERM: 6 Months
JOB
Responsibilities:
The incumbent would be an individual contributor, would work under specific deadlines and should be capable of handling heavy workloads in oracle databases in Unix platform.
Should have experience to lead technical delivery and handle client communications as well.
Essential Oracle DBA Skills Include:
Experience on handling production oracle databases in Windows and Unix environment
Work experience in 24 X 7 environments.
Core skills on 11g database creations and software binaries installations in Windows/Unix environment.
10g and 11g advance features.
Knowledge on 12c.
Oracle Certification preferably OCP on 10/11g.
Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
Practical experience on Oracle high availability setup likes cluster, RAC, Data Guardetc.
Practical experience in database backup & recovery using RMAN.
L3 level support. Handle escalations from L2 incident Management team.
In case of some problem open a case with Oracle and do coordination with principle till closure of SR.- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
Experience in analysis of data tablespace, TEMP, UNDO tablespace growth.
Knowledge on performance tuning of database
Knowledge on Exports, Imports, Datapump, Rman.
Hands on experience on cloning of databases.
Hands on experience on databases restorations and recoveries.
Hands on experience on CPU patching and upgrades.
Good knowledge on user account maintenance.
Hands on experience on Statspack, AWR report analysis.
Knowledge in writing shell scripts and perl scripts.
Knowledge on Data guard and ASM.
Essential Non-Technical Qualities Include:
Good Communication and Problem solving Skills
Good Team Player and must have capable of leading the shift.
Experience in Remote IS Infrastructure management and support tools like BMC Remedy is a plus
OCP certification in 10 or 11
Exposure to / awareness of ITIL v2/v3 is a plus
Knowledge on process defining and redefining.
Should be good in Technical delivery and interpersonal communication with various business groups
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Any Bachelor's degree.
4years experience as oracle DBA in production environment.
OCP certification in 11g/10g
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
