As an experienced Business Analyst with Finance expertise in the Re/Insurance industry you will be a key member of the Business Solutions team for Reinsurance IT. You will utilize your experience in both managing and implementing business requirements and will play a critical role in managing business change in a matrixed environment working with technical colleagues both onshore and offshore, as well as end users located in North America, Latin America, Bermuda, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a series of applications changes in the Reinsurance Finance business areas over the full project life-cycle from initiation through to closure.
Ensuring projects are executed according to SDLC processes.
Working closely with the technical lead on timely, cost effective and high quality software deliverables.
Directing teams between one and five people, including consultants.
Facilitating and documenting Finance functional area stakeholder meetings working closely with the business leader.
Capturing end user requirements and transforming these into functional specifications for the technical teams.
Facilitating requirements workshops to ensure that requests are comprehensively understood and that the proposed implementation fulfils business needs.
Preparing acceptance criteria working closely with functional leaders to set the direction for the Quality Assurance team for their system and regression testing.
Facilitating User Acceptance Testing and ensuring sign-off against business requirements.
Assisting Production Support team by managing issues through to resolution for financial systems that require software enhancements or data fixes.
Acquiring a detailed knowledge of the Reinsurance applications used in the finance functional area and demonstrate a solid understanding of the underlying business processes.
Adhering to the internal and external audit and compliance processes, including Sarbanes Oxley.
Managing interaction with Audit team for project audits.
In this role, you will report to the Manager of Business Solutions.
Were looking for someone who has these values, abilities and skills:
Minimum five years of business analysis experience in the Financial Services Industry, preferably Insurance Property & Casualty (P&C).
Strong technical background prior to holding business analyst role is essential with proven application design, development and application management experience, gained over an additional five years.
Experience in development and support of financial close processing and financial analytics.
Proficiency with MS Office suite, project planning and business process mapping tools.
Knowledge of SQL is required.
Must have experience with documenting Use Cases, Business Rule Development, User Interface and Functional Specifications as well as Acceptance test criteria.
Background in IT delivery in Statutory, Regulatory and Management reporting would be an advantage.
Strong team player with ability to work in a matrix management environment in a global organization across multiple geographies and cultures.
Results oriented and solution focused with strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to manage interactions at multiple levels.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or associated discipline. An additional qualification in Finance is preferred.
Project management or business analysis certification is an advantage.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
